As a former educator and retired Army Colonel, I’ve spent most of my adult life caring for people in one form or another. Because I cared about the development of children, I became an educator. Because I cared about our country, I joined the Army to serve. And, I still care, so I've made the decision to come out of retirement to serve my community and country, once again.

Having served two tours at the Pentagon, I understand what it takes to govern and, although I am a proud Democrat, I know how to work with people from across the political spectrum to get the job done. My background in the public sector has provided me the knowledge, skills, and abilities to restore the balance and sanity that is desperately needed in the North Carolina General Assembly. With your support, I'll take this experience to Raleigh and fight for you!
